Default 04 EVO???

Really??? I thought that they were talking about the lancer sportback. It comes in a ralliart edition and is big news because of the mivec engine. I didn't think they would bring out a ralliart edition of the evo so soon. Also, the current edition of us spec evo's are the same as japanese RS versions, aren't they?

The current Evo models for 2004 are Evo VIII and Evo RS and 2005 is going to add Evo MR which is going to add 5 horsepower to the normal 271. Also the MR is going to have a aluminium roof panel to save weight. Also all models get a front LSD, and Electronic Active Center Differential. Also the Intercooler is dropped to fit the Active Center Diff. The MR also gets a 6 speed and Bilstein shocks and struts. Also (MR) they get BBS wheels (3 lbs. lighter)

2 weeks ago i bought my 2004 tarmac black evo viii. i have a wing, sound deadening, radio, etc, etc, etc. they are selling the RS, the VIII, and the VIII sun & sound this year. sun & sound adds 4k to the msrp & you get an infinity sound system & leather seats with sunroof. i had a choice between my VIII and the sun & sound evo. leather recaros just wasn't too apealing to me.

I work at a Mits dealer and the pricing I saw for the MR is 4-6K above the "standard" EVO VIII so roughly 32-36k before dealer add on.

How much did you buy your '04 Evo VIII for? I got a black '04 Evo with sun and sound and leather, well basically all the options for $30k.

29, you got a pretty good deal on yours. the msrp was like 33,995 for the s&s. stereo is pretty nice though.

i am just telling you what the evo tech at the dealership told me. i honestly don't see the mr being 3-4k more. i think that people that have put deposits down already will get a big shock once they find out what msrp is (if they don't have sick mark ups on them)
