i just got my car and would like to do some upgrades like pulleys and maybe intake.. who makes good stuff for these cars, if you could show me some websites that would be great

I like Road Race Motorsports. They have been building Lancers for a few years- they have everything up to a turbo setup. I use their parts and am very pleased. Check them out here. You can do a little research and see the cars they have built and a dyno on them too.

You won't have any issues with the UD pulley and the dealer. If you ever need work done or something checked out on the bottom end of the motor, just swap the old pulley back on and they'll never know. It's reaaly a discretionary call for the dealer as far as what they will allow you to get away with and not void your warranty. So far I have done a header, downpipe, high flow cat and muffler, UD pulley, custom SRAM intake (which removed EVERYTHING from the factory intake), strut bar, and upgraded to the next size reccomended tire by a tire shop. The dealer told me that since the front tires when locked rubbed by a hair they would void any suspension warranty claims unless I returned to the factory tire size, so I returned the factory size tires. The performance mods I have not had any problems with.

 

what year is your car.. and how much of a difference did the pulley make... i find it kinda weird how they only make the one pulley. not a whole set. thanks for all your help...

 

I have an 04 Outlander with a 4G69 2.4 MIVEC. The pulley helped the car to run through the RPM's a bit easier and if I don't drive like an *** I can get better gas mileage than I could before the pulley with the same driving conditions... about 2-3MPG. There also seemed to be a little better throttle response.
