Default 2003 Lancer OZ Rally Intake Help...

Hello everyone.. I just got a 03 Lancer and I want to put an intake in it. I was looking at the air box and noticed like a wires going into this plug thing.. does anyone know about that?? And my another question is that will a cold air intake fit or do I need a short one? Thanks!

its easy the wire that you see is the wire that pluggs into the Mas air. you will need to unhook the masair from the air box and use it with your new intake. and if a cold air is made for your car then it should fit.. here is a pic of a short intake after intall(it is on a eclipse but it is the same thing)

cant put a cold air on an auto, short ram will do the trick tho

I was going to do the same thing until I looked at he air intake and realized it's already pretty good it has a great air intake vent straight from the grill and thought would an intake really be better? Maybe just buying the high end air filter would be just as good
