Default 2008 Mitsubishi Lancer ES at 50,000 miles O2 Sensor defect

I had a engine service engine light on at 50,000 miles on 2008 Lancer ES.

O2 sensor Bank 1 sensor 3.
(PO144 OBD Code)

I called the dealer where I bought my car. service dept said not covered it is only 36,000 miles warranty but I said the warranty book said 80,000 miles for emission warranty.

I have talk to other people to convince the Service dept that they are wrong.

I said it is PZEV engine it should be covered under California Emission Warranty and other states with PZEV Engine.

Service dept Bring it in.

Be careful with your Warranty and fight for it. Don't be fooled with THE SERVICE dept

the emmisions part of all waranties is federaly mandated.

Yes they can if you don't know how to fight for your rights about warranty.

unfortunately
I RESET THE STUPID OBD 2 code. I went to the dealer and the Check Engine Light was off. so, when they plug their OBD they didn't see any problems.

I was so stupid to reset myself. I have to wait another 10,000 miles or more when the check engine light goes On again. The engine diagnositc cost $100.00 but didn't do it.

I don't want to spend money on a 2008 Lancer not until I reach 65,000 miles.
