Hi, I'm currently looking to buy a 2009 lancer GT (2.0 liters) and i was wondering how fast it accelerate. I was looking at a book which said that the 0-100 kmh was done in about 7,9 sec (not sure how much that makes in mph) but i think that's way too optimistic. Anyone know the real numbers ?

 

Due to new SAE standards, they are no longer allowed to bend those numbers as much as they would have in the past. I would say they are possible.

 

I've done my 0-60 mph (60mph = about 96.6 kph) in 8 second flat, and I've got a good amount of room for improvement on the start. I've seen it boasted as low as 7.2 seconds, I would guess that or mid 7's would be very reasonable for a stock GTS.


meh, just saw you said you have the 2.0 L engine, i think its 0-60 mph was about .5 seconds slower... so...

 

Actually it is 2.4 liter not 2.0 for the 2009 models. It has 168 hp

The 2008 has 2.0(mine is 2008) is PZEVEngine forMassachusetts
so the horsepower is about 146 or 145. It is still Fast for me on Overtakes on 95. But mileage on gas is about 25 city and 32 highway.

I save more gas the the non PZEV engine. if I had the 2.4 168 hp Probably I would get 21 city and 28-29 highway.
