i had my 5 spd. 08 gts for over a year.

it "clicked" every time, just like my 07 outlander and now my 09 RA.

listen very carefully when getting up to about 5mph after starting your car after it has been parked for a while.

the click is not that loud so to some it may not be noticable.

That clicking sound is YOUR ABS Brakes trying to initiate its purpose.
Or the Fuel Injection system pumping gas.

try putting the key all the way without turning on the car orignition. you will hearthat sound and alsowhen you start your car another sound you will hear is from the ABS computer system.

I hear that sound once in awhile. Click and then it goes away.

I have 42,000 miles on my 08 Lancer. DON'T WORRY ABOUT IT.

I think it is sound louder on CVT or Automatics.

By the way The 08 Lancer sometimes does not start especially when it is very very cold. the manual said it is normal for the batteries toDRAIN a little power. Because everything is cold. if you drive a manual step the clutch all the way to the floor

Because the ENGINE IS VERY COLD. it takes a second or third attempt to start the car. IT IS NORMAL

But neverstart it CONTINIOUSLY whendoesn't want tostart wait for another minute and then start the car again.

It will totally drain the Battery you start multiple times CONTINIOUSLY.
