I have recently purchased a 1994 Lancer Hatch for my step son and it turns out that it needs a new motor. I have found a 1997 EVO engine and am just wondering if it will bolt into the mounts in the 94 hatch.
I do know that I will need to change the loom and ecu, as I am fitting a fuel injected engine. I just need to know if the engine mounts are the same.

Any info would be grately appreciated.

I take it that no-one knows anything about the 94 and 97 model lancers then??

Can't anyone tell me if the engine from a 97 lancer, will fit into the 94 lancer??

All I need to know is if the engine/gearbox mountings are the same.
