Default Air Filter for a '99 CK2A Lancer (4G15 FI Engine)

Guys help me out here,

I have a 1999 CK2A lancer

she carries a 4G15 engine. the engine specs are:

1500cc
16V
DOHC
Fuel Injected

I want to replace the stock intake system with a free flow\cold air intake.

what gain can I expect in terms of horse power?

Any advice on what kind of filter should I put in? I'm thinking K&N FIPK

what about the air intake pipe?

advice needed

K&n FIPKs are nice if you have the money but they wanted like 120 bucks for one for my 300zx when i could buy a universal and but some hose clamps and be out 40 dollars... So some of them arent really worth it...

this setup has been working pretty well

the acceleration and response have both improved

the gas comsumption has been tweaked too

a good buy, I'd say
