reasons to buy evo 1)awd 2) 230+ hp out of the crate 3) easy upgrades 4) great sleeper 5) 0-60 UNDER 6sec.
reasons not to buy 1) mitubishi motors is financially unstable right now 2) the car is getting a little trendy? 3) um....I'm stretching now.

Heck with the evo 8... go for the Evo RS... leaner and it comes with a helical diff, rather than the open diff of the evo 8. granted it doesnt come with the spoiler but that can always come later. quicker off the line with better handling.

You should look at other cars also because, I don't want an evo anymore because everyone has them, I don't know if that matters to you though, but there are a lot of other cars out there, but he EVO would be a fun car.
