Catback and Intake Question...PLS HELP
I am looking at getting some custom piping done by my uncle for a catback exhaust system for my 2006 Lancer...What size piping would you all recommend? This will be my first catback and am going the no-resonator route since my muffler has the silencer on it...I was thinking 2.5 inches but afraid that will be too big so thinking 2.25? Pls let me know your thoughts...
Also, I was looking at installing an intake on the car to help it breathe better and think this will go great with the exhaust, but wondering if anyone has installed one on a lancer to help me out here...This is my first REAL project car because now that Im a teacher, rent is cheap, and no significent other to spend my money on, I can afford more!!!
Pls help...thanks

That is exactly what I got with the silencer so I think the 2.5 piping will be good...thanks Threepk2...
Does anyone know if putting the air filter right after the maf sensor is alright with the adapter...any one have any problems (check engine light, water, etc) I live in Chicago where we have rain which is why I dont want a cold air intake and would just stick with the short ram, but wanted to see if any one has had any problems...will post picks of my car next week after I clay bar, polish, and wax it for the winter!

You should be good with the intake as long as you have that MAF sensor hooked up. I have an Injen short ram intake on my car and went with it instead of a cold air intake because of the rain and the snow where I live, and I haven't run into any problems with it. Good luck with the exhaust and intake.
