Default change inner tripod joint on driveshaft

Hi my first time here hope someone can help.

I have a lancer cedia 1.5 auto box 2001 and i intend to change inner tripod joint reason vibration on acceleration smooth when come of the gas inner joint has a lot of movement.
I would like to know if i remove the joint from the gearbox (auto)will i loose transmission fluid, if so i would drain box first,it is cvt box .

Thanks in advance adrian
