clunking noise - driveshaft?
Hi All,
I have a 2009 Outlander that has done 69k miles (mainly motorway). With even a slightest left turn you can hear a quite tet-tet-tet-tet-tet noise which sounds like its coming from the front drivers side. Anyway, this appears to be getting worse as you now get what sounds more like an occasional pop-pop noise which is louder.
My first thught was it was a driveshaft....but theres doesnt seem to be excessive play in them and putting full lock on and turning in a sharp circle doesnt make the noise any worse...or even be heard at all?!?
Any ideas....anyone had something similar. I rely on my car so need to get it fixed!
Thanks
Matt

if you are getting clicking noises while turning...sounds like CV shafts. Take a quick peek underneath and see if any of the large boots are ripped open.
i'm still rocking my originals so far...but I've had a few go out on other cars.
