i own a 1993 lancer 1.5l (4G15). My engine has covered 250000km up to know and it will need replacement as im willing to keep the car for the next cuple of years. The engine I am planning to replace my current one is a 1.8L 4G93 DOCH. Back then there was a version of this car available with that engine therefore it should be easy to install it. what do you thing? is it worth it? Also what else you thinkI will need for the new engine to work proberly? thx!

Its not always as easy as that... The 2G Eclipses all used the same bodies but the engines cant be transplanted to eachother.

 

/\ agree but there is no limit to what you want to do with the engine swap, granted the person has the cash and time.
