Becuase it would A) Look f-ing stupid. B) Tires are more expensive, and you will have less to choose from. C) The car won't handle as good.

I don't agree with your first statement, Iâ€™ve always felt as if the tires on the lancer were too thin, and more width just would give it a meanand heavy look, as for your second statement, I could live with that...
