Sorry guys this may have been asked before, but whenever i search for Lancer GT, I ALWAYS get topics about GTS lancers.
Anyways, i want to know if there are any products made for the 2.0L 5 speed manual 09 Lancer GT.
I've looked but so far i think its inconclusive. I want to know if there are any performance parts that i can buy, and if there are what do i need them to fit? like what year, make, and i guess engine type.

The Lancer GT and Lancer GTS are the same car Marcus. It is just a marketing strategy to change the name or model type.

In South America the Mitsubishi of South America or Africa call them Lancer GT and in North America Lancer DE,ES,ES Sport, GTS, Ralliart and big brother Lancer Evolution X (TEN). They all one family of sedan and you may exchange parts if you know how to do it. It is like a toy for Big People (my daughter told me that)

IF you ou make a lot of money you can buy performance parts at RRM Road Race Motorsport of California or Racing Power Works of Australia.

They have a web site. Just search by their names. GOOD LUCK

 

"performance parts" wise.........the 09 GT will use the same parts available for the 08 GTS.

they both have the same 2.0 liter engine.

the 09 GTS parts will be different due to the 09 GTS having the 2.4 liter engine.

so..........09 GT = 08 GTS for performance parts.

 

Correction the 2009 Lancer GT or GTS has 2.4 liter engine

Owners of the 2008 Lancer were complaining about of lack of power on the 2.0 liter
so Mitsubishi built the 2.4 liter engine for the 2009 GTS ONLY. DE and ES has the same engine 2.0

I am not sure why you have 2.0 liter for a 2009 Lancer GT or GTS
It should be 2.4 liter for 2009 GTS not 2.0

all other 2009 lancers have a 2.0 liter engine like ALL 2008 lancers

 

Yeah according to the website it has a 2.0L MIVEC I4 like i said.
Thanks for the info guys, i didn't realize the 2.4L engine was introduced this year only.

what model and year do you actually own ? what part of the country do you live ?

besides motor size , there is sometimes an issue with the car being PZEV depending on what the parts are related to.

 

I own a 2009 Lancer GT 2.0L MIVEC I4 5 speed manual.
It doesn't say anything about PZEV anywhere.
and i live on the east coast of Canada actually.

Use this Guide, there is no such thing as a Lancer GT, There are only three models: "DE,ES,GTS"
And if you have a 2009 GTS it is a 2.4L Engine, NOT a 2.0, if it is a GTS and a 2.0 then its an 08.
