hey guys...

i just bought (my first car) a 1997 Lancer CE GLi and its only a 1.5 .... i was wondering does anyone have any suggestions for increasing its overall engine power without have to put like a turbo in it.... it already came with a pod air filter but i'd lke to put some more money towards it and would prefer to work on the engine before anything else and increase its overall performance.... any suggestions are appreciated.

Repost in the Mirage forum, because that is what it is in the US. The my have so help for you.

The 1st US Lancer was a 2002 with a 2.0L engine.

 

The best gain your going to get is with a full exhaust + headers. Also if you want more you can port the head and all that stuff and maybe get a more aggressive cam setup.

The fact of the matter is you wont get much more power out of a 1.5 naturally aspired engine.
