Revs too high? Accelerater sometimes sticks on?

Default Revs too high? Accelerater sometimes sticks on?
Just wondering why...when I start my 95 lancer glxi it revs high and stays like it and sits at 2-3000 revs when I'm doing 50kms around town also when I have stopped or slowed down the car seems to sometimes keep going like I've pushed Accelerater down but haven't..
