has anyone noticed excessive road noise in the 08/09 lancers?
has anyone changed the rims and tires and had it get quieter?

 

i pulled out the carpet and plastic panels in the trunk

and insulated the floor and sides of the trunk.

that helped alot and even cut down on the noise from my injen full exhaust.

 

I did the same with my old mirage but not with the Lancer. the noise is coming from under the muffler because there ishuge space above the muffler that creats rode noise inside the cabin.

to check close your front windows and leave the rear window open you can definetly hear the road noise
