Whats up everyone, got a quick question. Just bought a brand new 04 Lancer OZ rally edition, the "service engine soon" light came on for a couple of hours then went out after a while. Have any idea what was going on. thank you

 

the dealership warned me that more than liekly if that happened when the car is brand new, its possibly just cuz of the gas cap. make sure its on right.

 

thats what the mitsu dealer told me so its all good now. sencors are very sencetive, thanks

 

Same problem for me. I came here, saw this response and checked my gas cap.
All good now.
