hahaha, i think your car is posessed, try a priest. electrical problem somewhere, could be a million things. the only way to find out is to look at every single wire, make sure it's not stripped or grounded improperly.

I think it either has something to do with the current arcing or the contacts being effected by the weather.

eh, just disconnect the damn thing...
No really the problem is that your horn is old and needs to be replaced... Something has probly dented it, and so when its cold, the unit shrinks, and contacts the ground... replace it, or just unhook it... your choice.

The last suggestion seems plausible, but I have an '01 Montero Sport with the same problem. Once it gets cold the horn goes off and I have to pull the fuse. After some research, lo and behold, a whole bunch of Mitsu owners have had the same problem. So I think it may be more than just a bad horn and hopefully someone will come up something. I'll start witha new horn, but I'm interested in the cause beyond just treating the symptom.

i think it is a recall problem and mishibishi should have done something my 2002 horn goes off at 3 to 6 am and i have to take the fuse out and the year is 2012 now and the same problem keeps comming back and a car cant pass inspection with a horn problem so mishibishi is getting over for not recalling the vehical to fix the problem

If you buy a louder car horn it will work better in very cold weather.
