im not sure where your from, but southern cali in the high desert is very hard to get ahold of aftermarket parts for anything thats not a honda, chevy, ford...and my friends laugh at my mitsubishi infatuation but i love it.
how much was that turbo kit for your 4g15?
or is it custom?
im desperate for pointers, my car although great on gas lacks the power i desire, yet i love the mirage shape and the way they drive.

Just about everything on the car is custom made. RPW sells a turbo kit for the 4g15, but it's really more money than it's worth. doesn't come with a FMIC, oil lines, MBC, anything like that. You can piece one together usually for under $3k if you know what you're looking for. If you're running on stock internals, I wouldn't push your car past 10psi until you've got some forged pistons, rods, cam shaft and a few other odds and ends. As far as the turbo goes, best option is some variant of the T3 turbo. I'm running a T3 super 60, spools up around 2800 rpm and hits full boost usually by 4200, redline is around 6200rpm, so there's plenty of power in the upper regions, lower gears are a bit sluggish though. It's a highway monster, stop light slug. Finding a shop to fab you up a manifold will be ther hardest part, everything else is readily available through dealers or on ebay. I'd suggest a minimum of 310cc injectors (and they're high impendence injectors, so you've got to search a bit for something that will work. RX7 injectors work well), upgrading your fuel pump will be necessary for anything past 9 psi. Evo FMIC's fit nicely with a few modifications to the bumper and supports as well.

way to thread jack newb. 300 miles to a tank isn't too bad for an auto with mostly city driving isn't bad. I'm mostly highway miles, so I get a little more, and mine's also a 5spd. Next time if you have a question, start your own thread. It's easier to keep all the topics in order and you're not bustin in on anyone elses threads.

28 mpg with turbo on a4g15...lol
the moderator as the right to laugh on your ridiculous mpg theory

Thank god you haven't blown any piston using that turbo. I bet there is a Fire coming from the muffler or changing oil every 2 months better use synthetic oil and engine flush your car every oil change. putting premium gas on your Mirage.. Better wear some gas mask my friend

!.) Is english your first language?
2.) 28mpg city if you're hammering on it isn't bad at all. I don't know though, maybe my expectations are a little low.
3.) Look around MPF, you'll see that a good portion of the turbo guys are running a t3. And by the way, since I'm running 9 pounds of boost, "blowing a piston" really isn't too much of a concern
3.)No, I don't spit flames and I do change my oil every 2 months (rouhgly 2300-2500 miles). And I don't switch back and forth between regular and synthetic because it's not the best things for your seals.
4.) Premium fuel in ANY turbo vehicles is a given

Don't be such a little *****

Turbo on a stock engine?

I don't understand why people put turbo for a daily driver like the Mirage.
I modified my Mirage because I am just sick and tired of people passing me on the highway while I am doing 65 that how fast I cango withmy Mirage before mods while they drive 75 to 100mph.

I modified my own engine too bad I can give the picture to you because it's on myBlog (i dont want to be harass).

Lil Evo just trade in your Mirage for a new Lancer. they might give you at least $2,000 for your Mirage. My dealer almost traded my car for almost $2,500 and mileage was 135,000 miles

Lol, I can understand the bit about getting passed on the freeway. My NA car is a dog and merging onto the insterstate is borderline scarry during rush hour. As far as the new Lancer goes, as much as I'd love to get an Evo or even an 08 RA, insurance on one of those would kill me. I'm actually looking to sell it and get an older truck to beat on while I continue working on my NA car (possible AutoX car?). Only time will tell though.

Buy Mitsu Again the insurance is prety cheap because of safety feature..

I pay $98.00 a month for my New Lancer and it's Fully Covered.
If you have multiple tickets forget it you will be paying i think is $150.00 a month for fully covered Massachusetts is nice insurance compared to highway robbery California car insurance

you pay everything over in Californiaand they don't give a A Check for you to cash you pay out of your pocket if you get hit from behind and ending up paying for the car rental and body repair

Here in New England States they give the amount of the damage and give you a check to cash and it's up to you to fix or not fix your car.

Moving here lots of jobs!!!????
