Radio Code

Please help. I just purchased a 2000 Mirage for my son and the radio is asking for a code. After 3 tries it says off. How can I activate the radio?

Some aftermarket radios came with this as a theft prevention measure. The code would have come with the unit when purchased. Don't know how you can by pass it, if at all. You can try calling the manufacturer.

O.K. but it a factory installed radio. How do I either by-pass/find the code

need to call dealer and ask them for the code. they may charge you. Keep insisting that you want it for free and they might budge
