Default 01 MONTERO SPORT SPARK PLUGS,LOCATION

hELLO THERE ANY ONE OUT THERE KNOW HOW DO YOU CHANGE THE SPARK PLIUS ON A 01 MONTERO SPORT,PLEASE ADVISE.

You have to remove the exhause manifolds and a I believe you also have to remove the air intake and the throttle body. It will take the better part of the day if everthing goes well.

As JC noted, it's a big job. If you do it, be sure you use the OE or better plugs that will last a long, long time unless you want to do the job again more frequently.

I agree with the previous posts. There is a great step by step instruction write up at http://www.monterosportonline.com/diy.html. I changed my plugs using this info and had no trouble at all. Just take your time and label all of the various bolts as you take them off. You'll need a new intake gasket - I got mine from NAPA and it was fine. I also replaced my ignition wires while I was at it.
