Please Please help!! I have searched high and low over the net to try to figure out any reasons as to why I cannot move my 4H-4L-awd selector *** on my 02 montero sport. Its a an awd Ls, 3.0. I saw a lot of useful info in some of these posts but none to answer why I can not physically move the lever at all?? The indocation lights do not come on and I can not move it in the least bit. I've tried pulling and pulling but no budging. . Please any info???

 

what does your manual say ???

 

doesnt say anything besides how to shift the transfer case...that doesnt help. Its should slide from all three selections while in nuetral

 

did you look under the truck at the linkage ???? did you unbolt the linkage and see if it moved freeley ?????

 

It may help knowing what happen just berfore or what did you do before this happen?...

 

No I looked under and thought I was looking at the correct thing until I found a diagram on another post....I'm gonna put it on a lift and check the accurate linkage......

I didn't do anything, I bought it without checking it.....
