I have an 03 Monty Sport with just over 192,000 miles. Have had it for about 175,000 miles of those.

Old Man Emu lift and running 33" BFG All-Terrain T/As. Used to get a few good off-road trips a year with it, but not much for a couple years (horses taking up more of my time and money.)

Now is mostly my teenagers commuter, but will get occasional rock crawling still (I hope.)

Anyway, transfer case is frozen- runs great it AWD but shifter won't budget to go into 4H or 4L.

With that background, my question is this:

Are there any other transfer cases that can be swapped into a Montero Sport? If so, any advantages (gearing, off-road durability) etc to doing so? What is involved with making the swap?
