Thanks for the response and tip on getting the ECU repaired. May have a hard time getting someone to take that component level look, but will try to find someone.

I have 2 Monteros also (should get down to 1 when I decide which to keep). Like these vehicles also. Bought one for my daughter (a 90) and later had to swap in a rebuilt long block. When doing so noticed how rugged they are built and was impressed. Bought the 89 for myself at that point. Now I have found a 93 SR that I'm fixing up. Mine have 265k and 233k respectively. Getting old but still ticking! Kind of like me....HaHa

Hello everyone, I seem to have the same issue with my 1992 Montero. Not finding the OBD connection....the one connection that might even look remotely like it, is connected to the side of the fuse box and only has four pins in it.
I'm wondering if Mitsubishi is kinda like Mac... If any one can verify the confirmation I would be happy to know if this is the port.
Or should I be looking for a specific scan tool or adapter?
