1990 Montero center console removal.
The manual describes 4 steps: 1. ****, 2. Plug, 3. Center panel, 4. Connection of center panel wiring harness to front wiring harness connector.
I have removed all the ***** of the heater/ac/air levers, the 2 "Plugs" on both sides that hide 2 bolts, those 2 bolts, the 2 screws at the top, just under the little tray. The center console now moves but something is holding it behind the radio. I have tried to pry the panel around the radio from the underside of the ashtray (after removing it) and I cracked it. Luckily it's not too visible.
Obviously I haven't even gotten to the electrical connector. Does anyone know what is holding the center console and how to remove whatever it is?
Thanks.
