My Mits montero 3.0 has Check engine light on and when i put the diagnostic in, the problem is the P0161 O2 Sensor Heater Circuit Malfunction. The cars runs the same and the performance is not effected but i need to get the smog check done and i have to fix this problem before. Pls help ASAP!!

OBD-II Trouble Code: P0161 Oxygen O2 Sensor Circuit Low Voltage (Bank2, Sensor2)

Check the wiring to your o2 sensors, if all looks fine then you may need to replace them.

 

So can I just replace the o2 sensor to solve the problem instead of going too deep in it?
