Hello, working on my uncles 2000 Montero Sport with (I believe) the F5A automatic trans. This is a 2 wheel drive unit. I haven't had eyes on it yet, but he has taken it to a trans shop and they believe there is an internal seal leaking. I'm assuming either a torque converter seal or other shaft seal. Only leaks when you put the engine and trans under a load. It won't leak Idling. That lends me to think TC seal. Any opinions and ideas welcome. Thank you.
