Default 2001 3.5L rear camber adjustment bushings ?

My rear tires on this 181,000 mile Montero XLS began wearing on the inside 1/4 of the rear tires suddenly...ruined a pair of rear tires that had about 10,000 miles left on rest of tread...wore down to the belts on the inside 1/8 of tire. Camber was way negative (when looking at tires from behind vehicle it looks like the top of tire was leaning inward toward drive shaft).

So I spent several days spraying PB Blaster and tapping on all the front and rear alignment bolts (because each was frozen/locked). Made sure they broke free by 12" ratchet, which they did after 3rd spray/tapping treatment.

Took it back to a Honda dealer for $100 4-wheel alignment and low and behold, they said the front was align-able but the rear camber would not pull into alignment because these rear bushings were too worn.

Has anyone a clue what parts they are talking about? Front desk couldn't tell me exactly. Maybe the bushings in-between the rear control arms alignment adjustment points? If so, are those replaceable or do folks just buy new control arms?

thanks!

Default wear parts for camber adjustment?

I don't have a Mitz dealer near me. The Honda dealer tech said there are parts that are worn preventing him from properly/fully adjusting the camber...I'm having inside tire wear, only on the rear tires.

What parts wear out causing this, or is the tech misinformed or incompetent? I read on a forum the eccentric camber and toe bolts have more than enough adjustment potential to adjust any otherwise serviceable Montero.

The corrosion is not bad on this Montero on the underside. I sprayed and tapped all the bolts on the front and rear and made sure they were free before going in. The first time I took it in, the same shop said all bolts were frozen and he didn't want to break any. He said he attempted to free with a 4 foot breaker bar, lol. So 3 days X 3 sprays (PB Blaster) X 6 wrench tappings made them loosen for me with a 12" socket wrench.

Thanks!

The bushings on rear trailing arms could be worn out. That will put geometry of the wheels way out of adjustment possibility.
