Default 2001 Limited dies after battery change

Hi all-

Just got back from having the battery changed ay my local #$%#$#@. In addition to everything being reset (thought that wasn't supposed to happen), the engine died 4 times on the way home, always while idling/decelerating.

What could these nitwits have done? I'm guessing something in the computer was reset. Thoughts?

Thanks

yep...its the computer, let it seat for about 10 minutes. then re-start the engine...run the vehicle for about 10 min. according to some peep's, it takes about 20 min. for the computer to register everything.

Just a followup...it was a little more than the computer being reset. The installation of the new battery shorted out the idle control motor. A $550 job at the dealer. Fortunately, the battery installer is reimbursing me for the cost of the repair.

Thanks for the help!

How can that happen?

BTW that is pretty impressive that they are reimbursing you for the repair. What was the name of the shop?
