2002 Montero Timing Belt

Your speed is indeed impressive, but how about a specific area for tech manuals and such, unless there already is one and I'm just too dumb to find it — a distinct possibility
I think that there should be an area for all the tech stuff: Manuals, procedures, and the maintenance things that people are always going to be asking about on a regular basis. For example, someone is going to ask "How do I change the starter on a 2002 Montero? Well, they could then download the appropriate tech info without asking around, and if someone were to change their starter and decided to do a photo essay of the process, they could post that as well so we could all benefit by their step by step experience and everyone who came later could find it easily instead of it dying a cold and lonely death in some forgotten forum.
Or is that what the search feature is supposed to do?
Personally, I'd like to see a go-to place for all this kind of stuff for these kinds of maintenance issues that are always going to keep coming up.
Just my 2cents...

Don't forget to install a new bolt for the tensioner arm. I put a new timing belt on and 12k miles later it died on me. Just started from a stop sign and wasn't going fast. The bolt broke and was cheap to buy, but had to take everything apart again.

96LS 3.0 Timing belt change
I thought I had posted here with my experience changing the Timing belt myself. Now I cant find it. Can someone help me find my old posts please.
Anyways for what its worth, the radiator fan had cracks on the base of the blade. I went to my local junk yard and found that the fan (only) 97 Montero Sports fits my 96 LS. The fan shape is different but it bolts onto the thermostatic hub. After 15 years, it now has a new set of plug wires, water pump, crank bolt, tb tensioner, tb idler, bunch of gaskets. She's running again.
