2003 Montero Sport - Lights turn off automatically

2003 Montero Sport - Lights turn off automatically
It is random, but my headlights turn off and them back on? I had to pull over last night, and stopped and restarted the car, a few mins of switching them on and off, and they magically came on again? It does not matter if fog lights are on or not?
I am not sure where to start on this one, or if anyone has experienced this.
