3.0 Litre Smoke at 100K miles??
Why was a 3.0l motor designed to smoke at under 100K miles. The valve seals in the 3.0 L are defect in design. This is not an isolated case due to the fact that if you look at other Montero Sports idle at a light and then take off all you see is a big puff of smoke.
I see 30 year old cars that don't smoke. What was so complicated in building a motor that does not allow oil to leak past the valve seals????
And this vehicle was not cheap new.
I went back to the the tried and true Chevy.
