Default 3/6 coil not firing. Fixed

My 3/6 coil stopped firing last week on my 3.0 Sport. Swapped the coils around and discovered the coil was fine. After reading all pertinent posts and searching Google for solutions I found several ways to go: ignition control module, cam position sensor, crank position sensor, wiring, ECU, etc. Then I came across a post that stated "just change the ICM and be done with it" or words to that effect. So that's the way I went. 3 days later I had an ICM from Rock Auto, bolted it on, problem solved. Just thought I'd share.

Thank you for posting this, someone somewhere will eventually have the same issue and they'll see this thread and it will save them some trouble. Glad to hear you solved the issue!

Default I have same issue with 3/6 coil not working

So I replaced all plugs and wires cause it was all of a sudden running really rough and after replacing them still was missing so I unplugged coil one at a time got to coil 3/6 and nothing changed as far as idle I replaced coil still same thing I tried using one of the other coils I knew for sure was working and still same thing so then I went to a wrecking yard and pulled a ignition control module and installed and still nothing is it likely that that one I got would still make the same 3/6 coil not work or I just got a really bad luck of the draw not sure where to go from here or just buy a brand new one
