Hello everyone,

Please help me out.

I have a 2003 Mitsubishi Montero Sport AWD little over 84,000 miles on it.

When I shift from AWD to 4 High, 4 High indicator light is always blinking. I do not have any problem to shift the transfer stick.

When I shift from 4 Low to 4 High, 4 High indicator light stays off. I do not have any problem to shift the transfer stick.

If I transfer from 4 High to 4 Low, the 4 Low indicator light comes on right the way and stays up. I do not have any problem to shift the transfer stick

I have done everything explained in owner's manuel.

Questions

a. When I shift to 4 High, is the vehicle in 4WD locked since I do not have any problem to shift the transfer stick even though 4 High indicator lights blinks or stays off?

b. If this a problem, how much it might cost me to fix it?

c. If this a problem, can local "Four Wheeling" stores can fix it?
