Default 6G72 Motor for 1993 Montero SOHC

I need to replace my motor and found a shop that has a used 6G72 3.0L SOHC long block from Japan that's from a sedan (I think it's from a Diamante).

The block looks the same, but I'm concerned about compatibility in regards to compression ratio's. I know I have to swap out all the brackets for the alternator, AC compressor, power steering and timing belt cover, intake manifold, and maybe fuel injectors.

I'm having a hard time finding a used Montero motor from japan and this is my best option with my budget.

Are there any issues with swapping the motor from a Diamante into a Montero?

I think one of the reasons you have a hard time finding a Montero/Pajero motor from Japan is because in Japan they were powered by a 4 cyl turbo diesel motor. Pajero's mostly had the turbo diesel.

Is this the 12-valve or 24-valve 6G72?

It's the 12V motor.
