95 Montero code reader

What kind of code reader do I need to read codes from a 95 Mitsubishi Montero? 96 and onward use the government mandated OBDII system. What does a 95 Montero use?

mitsubishi actually started using OBD2 in 1994. any parts house can sell you a hand held scanner that will give you a code. it would be cheaper to bring it to the dealer or a import specialist shop to get it scanned. a decent scanner will run you 30 to 60 bucks. getting the PCM scanned usually runs around 50 bucks!!
