This is my first 4wd vehicle and I really have no reference so someone please explain:

When I start my truck the center and rear diff lights illuminate for 5 seconds or so then go off (which I assume means functioning normally). When I am stopped and engage 4HLc the center diff light flashes, then stays solidly lit and works as I guess it should. From here I am confused...

When I am stopped, I then shift to neutral, then go to 4LLc, push the top part of the R/D switch and what should happen? When I do that the rear diff light does not light up. Should it?

I can't tell the difference in function because I haven't gotten it really stuck yet.
