Default big wheels on my montero xls

Well i went ahead and found a set of 18 inch wheels and tires from a armada and put them on my 2001 montero xls and they fit great. They dont rub at all and fill the hole perfectly, now to raise the front end 2 inches and it will set just right

Neat, I just put 17's on my 98 sport the other day. Mine didn't fit perfect, I had to carefully bore them out a few mm with a rotary sanding tool. I used TY09 Wheels from a 2007 Tacoma. As far as the lift goes, you should be able to crank the torsion bars a few teeth to achieve the 2" lift in the front. Just make sure the front wheels are off the ground before you do any adjustments or else your torsion bars could literally snap.

Edit:
Do the gen 2 sports even come with torsion bars? I believe they do but I'm not sure.
