I have a 2003 Limited. When I turn on the A/C the engine RPM's rapidly jump and dive from 500-1500 and tryies to stall for about 10 seconds. I get no cold air. A couple times when I turned it on I got a extremely loud grinding noise from the compressor. I assume that the compressor is trashed but I thought I would check to see if there could be something else to check first. Also, I was checking out the repair manual to find where the receiver/drier is for this model to change if I change the compressor but I can't find where it is located. Anyone know?
