Changing CEL on 01 Montero LTD

Сheck ALL connections on the ignition coils. The codes P0173 and P0170 are the same malfunction but different bank. The ignition coils are responsible for firing one cylinder on each bank. The issue may be related to that. Check feed wiring to coils and the connections on the ignition wires coming out from the coils. Double check the connection to MAF sensor as well.
