Question crankshaft timing mark????

2001 Montero xls 3.5L full size
Please tell me where the timing mark is for the crankshaft. I have the Pajero website up but it only shows arrows. The camshaft notches are clear. Do you mark it with the little fin? I thought that I had it but when I started it up it idles rough and I get P0300 random misfires. It runs fine at 1200 rpms.

valve timing ≠ ignition timing.

Yep, sounds like you got the timing off a bit. I've just e-mailed you a PDF extract with the info you are asking about. Good luck.
