Default Drive it like you stole it!

Here is my adventure I just got back off of. I would like to squelch the rumor that you can't wheel a Montero Sport. I'm also not afraid to go get rocks from stream bottoms for my wife's aquariums.

I ran my one tire off it's rim getting out. But they are $25 tires! So... Drive em like you stole em!

Damn son....The onlything that could make that better is a pic of an Xterra in it. :toothy11:

Nice to see more sports off road. I know they're extremely capable.

$30 tires? they don't look stock. Was that a 5 finger discount deal <grin>

My buddy likes to wheel his sport. He's running 35's w a front IFS lift and ext. shackles in back. He's got similar protection to what you have. Was that fab'd locally? If so where?

Not sure how he fit 35s![sm=drooldude.gif] I paid $100 for all four of my tires. I go through them so quickly I am trying to save a couple $$. They are not stock, they are 31 10.5 R15s. I have rear coils, so shackles are not an option. My bumpers were fabbed locally by a friend and myself.

I think I got the photos fixed.

He literally imported an IFS drop down lift kit built for a Mitsubishi Triton pickup and fab'd it to fit his sport. Pretty close too but it was around $4k to do the front. He also put on a 2" body lift IIRC but that's how you do it. You have to realize that if you can fit 31's you can fit 35's w/ a 2.5" body lift.

You may need to check your wheel offset spacing though and you'll need 10 wide rims minimum as most shops won't mount them on 8" rims.

Here's a couple of pics of his sport...

HTH.

WOW! That is awesome! But for 4 thousand dollars, I might as well get mine SAS'd. It may cost a little more, but not much. Looks awesome though!
