Default Front suspension question

Hi guys. I have a 2001 montero limited 188,000 miles and going strong.I’ve been putting money into it because I love my Monty.

question: I’m having some suspension work done. I cannot seem to find anyone offering the suspension strut and coil assembly for my car. Carquest offers one but then says “ may not fit my 2001 limited” .I’ve checked carID and rock auto and no luck. Can anybody tell me if they are available and if so where? I know my car is 20 years old and monteros left the us market around 2006. Any help much appreciated.dan

I bought the "shock" part of the strut from Rock Auto and reused my spring. It is not that difficult to disassemble and reuse the spring. Unless your truck needs new springs, I'd just reuse them. If the springs are sagging, you can add spacers from X-Terra (I think is the name, they're in Russia). Found them on eBay and Amazon. Also, go ahead and buy new rubber bushings/perches/ that go above and below the springs. I didn't think I needed them, but wish I would have just ordered them anyway. I hope this helps. Good luck.

Also, I may be way off with my above reply. My truck is a 2004. Not too sure how different the shocks/struts are between the two.
