The Ignition switch on my 97 was a cake walk. Just removed the column covers then 2 or 3 screws mount it up. Not to be confused with the lock cylinder which turns it. It's just a turn switch with about 10" of wire to the connector. Oddly enough, my vehicle seemed to act up when it rained which could have been just a fluke. I sprayed the **** out of the engine bay with a hose multiple times trying to reproduce the issue but never could. It also lived in the garage for all those years until I bought the SHO, then it got kicked to the driveway. Maybe it was just pissed off?
