Sorry it's silly question, but I wanted to know quickly.
I have 1997 Montero SR and how do I know if it's R134?

Since a dealer charge $180 for ac recharge, I'd like to do myself.
If you have any other suggestions, please let me know.

1993 was the last year for R12 in mitsubishi vehicles. you have R134. also have to have proper equipment to charge up a/c system.

You mentioned "proper equipment", can I just buy one of those universal one? I found a L valve; it seems to be a bit difficult to reach with those uni kit, but I assume that I could reach from underneath.
