Default How do I replace the radio illumination bulb in my 95 Montero?

Can anyone tell me how to replace the radio illumination bulb in my 95 Montero? I can't tell what channel/frequency I am tuned in to.

Thanks in advance,
Brian

There are no serviceable parts inside the unit that can be changed by the normal consumer. You would have to go to your local Mitsubishi Dealer and they would have to send it out for repair!

You can do it, but it's a tight fit in there. You'll need a 680 ohm resitor on each LED and will have to sand the 'dome' off of the LED, so as to disperse the light better. I did this before, but don't have any pics. email me for info if you need help.

Buy a new/used Mitsubishi CD player from ebay. They are cheap . I got one for $35 bucks and it plugged right in. I think the kids that buy the Lancer's take them out to put new "cool" radios.
