Default Floor Illumination Kit

Anyone know where I can find a after market floor led kit similar to the one the dealer offers. Also does this need to be done by a professional or can I do this myself (I don't have much experience with led wiring).

Appreciate the responses.

I mounted 6" mini glow tubes to the bottom brace under my front seats on my other vehicle. When they are turned on the illuminate the floor in the front and back seats. If you decide to go this route and the lights put out too much light for your liking, you can put a strip of black electric tape the length of the tube. In the spring I plan on mounting similar lights On my Outlander. As for wiring the lights, it is simple basic wiring.Off hand I don't currently know which wire to tap into for your power but I am sure other members will be more than happy to direct you. I kinda have to start the project and find the wire as I move along on the project. On my other vehicle I am very happy with the simplicity and illumination quality.

this is what I just did to my Outlander this weekend.

bought 2 stripes of LED for around 20 dollars.
ran wires from the LED to the dome light switches, solder them together.
driver side to the driver side dome light, vise versa.
tuck the wires nice and neat behind the covers.

and you get this!

I also switch the dome light bulbs to LED white, so it matches the entire lighting.

Looks good. I have mine on while driving. I find the brightness a little distracting while driving so I toned it down a bit by adding a strip of black electrical tape lengthwise on the tube. None the less yours looks great.

Wow. Those look amazing. What I really wanted is to have the led's wired into the door so that when the door opens the led comes on, when the door closes led turns off. Any ideas how to accomplish this?

I put red leds under the dash on both the driver and passenger sides. I used red to match the center console led. They're 12 volt so I piggy backed them on the fuse for the radio. I think I paid $8 for two on ebay.

Tim,

Can you post a link of the led's you got. Also if you wired these into the fuse do they stay on all the time? I would really like mine to turn off once the doors are closed. Let me know
Thanks
