So I have a 94 montero Ls it's been a great family vehicle but all of a sudden my wife tells me it just shuts off. So after I get home we check it out put a code reader on it and nothing comes up. Car runs good take it for a spin nothing then comes the weekend I replace the fuel pump and fuel filter still shuts off after it gets warm. I dont want to start replacing stuff at random but If any one should have any suggestion it would be great thanks docsanjo24.

 

lawd i hate intermittent faults.

Check main electric connections, battery posts etc. Spray everything with crc66.

 

Check your mass air flow sensor.

Does anybody know the torque specifications for the intake manifold bolts?

 

What year/model?

 

2003 Montero XLS (non sport)

 

Long bolts - 13 ft-lb, short ones - 80 in-lb.
Throttle body bolts 113 I,-lb.
